Microsoft Gaming Demos Across phone, PC and Xbox 360


Demonstrations with the Windows 7 Phone mobile operating system have emerged, offering a glimpse of what users can expect new range of smartphones from Microsoft.

The operating system, unveiled last month, should be presented at the upcoming MIX10 conference, but the team WMPoweruser managed to dig two video demonstrations of the Windows 7 Phone demonstrated at the TechEd conference Middle East.

One video shows Microsoft Senior Vice President of Technical Strategy - Eric Rudder show attendees a basic Indiana Jones type game is played on a Windows handset Phone 7 Series, to transfer to a Windows PC, then an Xbox. He also adds that the game takes advantage of Xbox Live to allow a user to save the progress of a game on one device and then play on the same point on another computer.

Write bar to show developers that knowledge of Visual Basic, games can be developed for all three platforms. In the demo video, the side scrolling adventure game from 90% of source code between platforms in a Visual Basic.

The second video shows the multi-tasking capabilities of the possible range of mobile Windows 7 Operating System, highlighting loading the browser page background in Internet Explorer. While Microsoft has not confirmed their devices will support multi-information, additional tasks may be coming when the operating system is widely detail at the MIX10 event.

It seems that Microsoft are looking to try and developers with the promise of limited code reviews for games multi-Paltform capturing mobile gamers in the process.
